Winner!! Weekly review

Okay...so I am getting caught up so the blog will be getting the long needed attention!!


I'm going to add a few pictures to show a few things that we have been working on. 


1. We are working on building our stamina with Read to Self. 

2. We are working on shaving cream spelling. I went over this again and again with my students about the correct way to use it. STILL...I had a student come up to me with an icky face because he thought it was whipped cream lol...NOOOO :)

3.  We have been working on sentence order. Students were responsible for taking a sentence and writing it correctly before cutting it and putting it in a bag. They had to use correct capitalization and punctuation. Then, they traded with the other teams to see which team would correctly put together sentences in the correct order. They had a BLAST!

4. We had a bunny come visit to discuss fiction and non-fiction passages. THEY LOVED THIS!!!

First Grade Common Core

Hey all! Well...I am still alive lol. I am sorry that I have not been blogging too much lately. It is just very hard to find time right now. I am totally enjoying this year with my kiddos.

As of next week, I will be starting to update my blog more. I am just trying to make it through my observation. I'm being observed when I will be teaching doubles. Does anyone have any great resources or lessons for this?

Sick already?

Sorry that I haven't posted recently! This year is very chaotic.

On top of that...I'm sick. I'm pretty sure that I have strep. Yuck! I hope to get to the dr tomorrow. However, we have open house tomorrow night until 7. I am just not feeling good at all.

I am working on the next two units for the Reading Street story. Does anyone have any requests for the units?

I am happy that we are starting to build some routines. :) So not much posted tonight. However, I will definitely post some pics by this weekend and hopefully finish one of the packets this weekend. I am hopeful anyways!
