Hello all! I hope that you guys are enjoying your summer. I know that I am :)
We just finished our three days of in-service last week. I was a little disappointed that we were not able to choose what PD we went to. It was basically boring. I like that we were able to pick what we wanted to go to last year. There were choices that were grade appropriate and I feel that I learned sooo much more then. Sigh! On a positive note, I do not have another PD day until July 24th. Woohoo! We will be meeting to curriculum map our math series and work on assessment.
I am working on getting all those little things done that I have wanted to get done...but let's be honest...I'm a mom first and so that is where my focus has been lol. I truly enjoy these summer memories that I am making with my little boys!
So...anyways... I posted about my behavior clips and name sticks. The next thing that I worked on was making my bell a little more glam. I love how it turned out (though it doesn't look as cute in the picture...SORRY!) I like to do things to make my room express my personality.
Now, I am working on finishing my writing rating board. I am serious guys...I have NO artistic ability lol so it looks like it was done by one of my firsties lol! Have a great afternoon and hopefully I will be able to post that picture soon. More cute ideas to come.
Also, I am on my way to 50 followers and when I do there will be a giveaway. I have two great ladies that have supplied a packet and I am always looking for anyone else that wouldn't mind donating! :)
Final thing....check out my BACK TO SCHOOL packet at my TPT store. I can't wait to use this with my kiddos.

Clip Chart
Hey all!
I hope that you guys are enjoying your summer! I am finally able to start making things for my classroom and read books for new ideas for next year. I am on my way to 50 followers. I would like to have a giveaway when I get to 50 people. If you are willing to donate a packet or something please contact me and let me know (kimberlycollatos@comcast.net). :) Thanks!!
Now, on to the next thing...
I decided that I should go ahead and decorate my name sticks and clips for my clip chart. I have them ready to add names when I get my class list. We don't get our list until the week of school. How about you guys?
I am also thinking of revamping my clip chart. I think that I would like to add something decorative to it. Idk :)
Don't forget to check out my back to school packet. It reviews K common core standards to help prepare and assess prior knowledge to guide instruction. :) Download the free preview for a back to school information form.

Common Core Standards Review!
Hello all!! I hope that you are enjoying your summer!! I definitely am. My summer started with my poor baby having his tonsils and adenoids out. He was such a trooper! He is doing much better now. It has been a week and he is finally eating again. He lost 6 pounds. It was scary. However, he just started eating yesterday and I am SO happy!
Now that he is feeling better, I am able to start working on the million crafts and things that I have wanted to over the summer. It seems like there is never enough time in the day lol. I have finally finished my back to school packet. Our school is switching to common core standards this year. I decided to create a packet based on the skills that students should have gained in Kindergarten. This will allow me to review the skills that they have learned and to assess them. I have also added a freebie to it. There is an information file that is helpful and a paper that I clip to the front of a packet of papers. This paper lets them know what papers need to be filled out on registration day and which ones they can take home to read.
There are many pages of useful information. I hope that you enjoy this packet! Click on the picture below to view the packet. Feel free to download the freebie, which includes the information form and paper for the folders for Registration Day. I hope that you guys enjoy your day. There will be more freebies coming soon!
